Meet Our Presenters!

James Cunningham

James is the founder and creator of the Funny Money program.  He has performed Funny Money on dozens of college and university campuses and at hundreds of high schools across Canada, as well as at over 120 colleges and universities in 37 states across the United States. Since its inception, James and Funny Money have received two “Lecture Of The Year” awards from COCA (Canadian Organization of Campus Activities), COCA’s 2009 “Hall Of Fame” award and the York Region Medal of Honour, for “significantly improving the lives and futures of students.”

As a standup comedian, James Cunningham has been featured in two Comedy Now specials (CTV and The Comedy Network), two Just For Laughs comedy festival Galas (CBC) and on season five of Last Comic Standing (NBC). He was also featured on five seasons of the award-winning television series Comedy Inc (CTV and The Comedy Network).

Denis Grignon

In his 20+ years as a standup, Denis has always been more comfortable with an act that works above the neck, not below the belt. He has performed all across Canada - (from Newfoundland to Nunavut to Vancouver Island) - as well as having been featured on CBC-TV’s “Comics!” “Marketplace” and the Comedy Network’s Comedy At Club 54.   An award-winning journalist and former radio reporter, his work is still featured regularly on CBC National Radio and in various magazines (not e-zines, but actual, real magazines!).  He’s no stranger to performing to teenagers, either. In his early days as a comedian, he created a successful touring standup comedy show for high school audiences - the first of its kind in Canada.  Fluently bilingual, he’s regaled audiences – of all ages - with his humour in both official languages.

Steve Levine

Steve Levine has been a veteran of the Canadian comedy scene for over twenty years, entertaining audiences

across the country and all over the world. His clean, clever style has made him a favorite of live and TV audiences alike. You may recognize him from one of his many television appearances including the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy festival. He has also had his own comedy specials on CTV and CBC and has been featured on CBC Radio's "The Debaters".

Steve's television writing credits include the two teen TV shows Radio Free Roscoe and Naturally Sadie. He has also acted in numerous plays, appears in commercials and teaches stand-up comedy at Second City.  Prior to his comedy career, Steve was a school teacher.
